The achievements I'm most proud of:
Everything I have been successful at - too many to itemise.
My goals for the future:
Live my remaining years to the utmost. me2! from Jane me2! from Al
My most unforgettable moments:
Having James Brown shake my hand on the stage of the Royal Albert Hall in front of 6,500 cheering fans. medal from Jane medal from Al medal from Andie
My most treasured possessions:
Music mixes on tape that I produced in 1984/5, at the birth of mixing, that still sound fresh and will stand against what is achievable today with modern technology.
Favourite places that I've been to:
Venice was memorable. Can't say I have any 'favourites' that I wish to return to.
Places I'd most like to go to:
No actual desires to go anywhere I haven't already been.
My favourite sights:
Beautiful sunsets and sunrises. me2! from wavylips medal from Andie
My favourite sounds:
Good funk.
My favourite smells:
The garden after rain. New mown grass. Apples. Coffee brewing. Bread baking. me2! from Jane me2! from Al
My Perfect Day:
Creating something useful or artistic from real wood. medal from Al
Things that inspire me:
Successful days.
Things that I worry about:
I've done all the worrying I intend to.
Things that irritate me:
Untidiness. Idle un-self-motivated people. Drunks, especially female.
Significant people in my life:
My girlfriend, Lisa.
The people I wish I'd met:
Alan Sugar. Would like to have spent more time with Richard Branson. I admire successful entrepreneurs.
The people I wish I hadn't lost touch with:
Nobody I can think of.
My hobbies:
Carpentry. Writing and conversing. Being on my computer. me2! from Al
The things I collect:
Abstract art. Music. Interesting (pictures) jigsaw puzzles, which, once completed, I glue to a backing board and hang with my other art, thus getting the double pleasure of doing and viewing.
My favourite books and authors:
Not a reader of fiction.
My favourite TV programmes:
I live without television, and consider I am a better person for it.
My favourite films:
Gone in 60 Seconds - the original from the '70s. A classic. Certainly not the 2000 version with Nicholas Cage. What a load of crap.
My favourite radio stations/shows/podcasts:
Avoid listening to the radio. Can't find a station, especially in Ireland, that plays decent music.
My favourite songs and lyrics:
Too many to list here. Need to create a separate list.
My favourite types of music:
My favourite musicians:
Those with real talent.
My favourite games:
Scrabble and Upwords.
My greatest gaming achievements:
Don't have any.
My favourite sports:
Not a sports person. Don't mind snooker and motor racing. Positively loathe football.
My favourite sporting moments:
Sitting at a cafe-bar in Spain, being bombarded with a football match from two televisions and there was a power cut. Pure bliss.
The teams I support:
You have to be joking.
My favourite animals and pets:
The things I want to buy:
I have everything I need.
My favourite technology/gadgets:
Computers. me2! from Al
My favourite food:
Anything I cook myself.
The places I like to eat:
At home, for preference. Every few months I get a craving for a portion of smoked cod & chips from Danola's in Westport, and take it to the quay to consume, overlooking Clew Bay.
My favourite cars (or other vehicles):
Vans and pick-up trucks. Hearses.
Places I like to shop:
Boot markets, charity/second-hand shops, tool-dealers and Tesco.
My favourite web sites:
The brands that I admire:
Not brand orientated.
My greatest extravagances:
Other things:
My favourite quote is a line from Reverence (Faithless) - YOU DON'T NEED EYES TO SEE, YOU NEED VISION. Just about sums up my philosophy on life. Another song-line, from Fat Freddy's Drop - YOU CAN CHANGE YOUR MIND BUT YOU CAN'T CHANGE YOUR DESTINY.
